Micah 7:8 declares, “Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.” God knows I’ve got the bumps and bruises to prove that I’ve fallen lots of times. But here I stand by God’s grace. There are many lessons that I’ve learned on my journey as a worship leader–some of which have cost me a price. One of my very wise sisters once said to me, “other people’s experience is the best teacher because that doesn’t cost YOU anything.” I want to share my journey with you so that, perhaps, you can learn some of the lessons I’ve learned without paying the price I’ve paid.
I believe that God knows exactly what is best for us. I also believe that our humanity causes us to be subject to various desires, most of which are sparked by wanting our own way, wanting everything we see and boasting about what we have or what we do. But if we could ever get that nasty part of our humanity under control then we could simply accept God’s actions. I really believe that God knows what is best for me. I really believe that I can trust Him to make decisions for me.
With that faith I serve God and His people with every gift and talent entrusted to me. Worship Leader. Preacher. Recording Artist. Producer. Missionary. Advocate. Servant.
